Circular City Eindhoven
Circle City Eindhoven is a collaboration in the construction sector between the municipality, housing corporations, developers, builders, advisors, and designers. The parties signed the covenant 'Regional Circular Construction Strategy Eindhoven' in 2023. It was agreed that the organizations will apply The New Normal and submit two projects for evaluation with The New Normal. In 2024, we will work with Circle City Eindhoven on topics 1) circular renovation, 2) materials & designs, and 3) circularity & finance. Here, we will contribute knowledge, seek barriers as well as opportunities, and share relevant project experiences.

The New Normal is a national movement that develops a feasible and measurable methodology for construction. Legislation from the government that guides further standardization on aspects of The New Normal (currently only MPG) is a great help in this. Furthermore, the Nature and Environment Database for building materials needs to be expanded to include biobased materials (White Spots).
Initial Tasks
1.
Subsidy for innovative projects where circular solutions are not yet priced equivalently to non-sustainable ones.
2.
Providing a platform for Cirkelstad Eindhoven.
